What it compares
Each lineup contains five drivers and two constructors. Compare its score on your chosen points basis, squad cost, cash in bank, projected price movement and downside estimates. Only complete teams enter the results; check any over-budget warning before using a lineup.
Why it helps
The best-looking team is not always the best fantasy team. A lineup with slightly fewer headline points might have a stronger budget path, a safer floor, or better value for future transfers. Team Compare puts those trade-offs in one view.
How to use it
- Without signing in: build up to three manual teams, using your Transfer Advisor lineup as a starting point when available. Enter your actual spending power.
- With saved Pit Wall teams: select the saved teams to compare, with one optional manual alternative. Saved teams retain their individual bank, spending power and chip state.
- Choose Projected, Risk-adjusted or Balanced points. Projected uses the predicted finishing order; Risk-adjusted uses the simulation mean; Balanced averages the two.
- Select the chip treatment, then click Compare Teams. Inspect the boost recipient and the score difference versus the first team.
Worked example: a higher score can still be a worse transfer
Illustrative numbers, not current recommendations. Suppose your current team scores 100 projected points and a legal alternative scores 107 on the same basis, including the same boost treatment. The alternative costs $0.8M more, and you have $1.0M in the bank.
- The alternative is affordable and leaves $0.2M in the bank.
- If the switch uses only free transfers, its projected improvement is seven points.
- If it needs one paid transfer, the ten-point penalty turns that into a three-point loss versus holding: 107 − 10 − 100 = −3.
Team Compare compares lineups; it does not establish the transfer route or deduct the cost of getting from one to another. Use the Transfer Advisor to check the actual moves and penalties.
Read the downside alongside the headline
A lineup can lead on projected points while relying heavily on one driver's recovery, a bonus or an unreliable constructor. Check the pick-level contributions and DNF exposure. A displayed downside estimate is not a guaranteed minimum, and combining individual pick ranges does not establish an exact 90% probability range for the whole team: teammates and race incidents can be correlated.

Does Team Compare include the captain boost?
Yes. The comparison automatically applies the normal 2x boost to the highest-scoring driver by the selected points basis. With the 3x Boost chip, the top driver gets 3x and the second driver gets 2x.
